Falmouth Harbour Commissioners Drop-in Day

Members of the public are invited to find out more about the activities undertaken by Falmouth Harbour Commissioners (FHC), the statutory body responsible for managing Falmouth Harbour, at a drop-in event on Thursday 26th September.

The event will include FHC’s business arms, Falmouth Haven and Falmouth Pilot Services, and will offer the opportunity to look back over recent activity as well as ahead to future plans. The Annual Review 2018 will also be available for review and everything from marine safety management and the provision of harbour leisure facilities, to pilotage and launch services, will be open for discussion.

There will also be a chance to meet commissioners and members of the Consultative Committee who will be on hand to answer questions and provide further information on a one-to-one basis.

“The drop-in day is an alternative to our previous Annual General Meetings and is designed to allow members of the public to delve further into the work of FHC, both in terms of current work and future activity,” explains, Carrie Gilmore, Chair of the Board.

“Engagement with the local community is vitally important to us so we hope lots of people will embrace this opportunity and come along to find out more, have a say and help shape our plans for the future. No appointment is necessary – just drop-in at a time convenient to you.”

The event takes place at Falmouth Haven (44 Arwenack Street, Falmouth TR11 3JQ) on Thursday 26th September from 12pm to 7pm. The latest annual report is available to download in advance from our website.
